win some lose some Contrary to popular belief, 4.6's can take down the mighty LS1's... Yes, i have an all stock down to the filter 04 gt 5-speed... and took out an ls1...
we were cruising around houston, and me and jruss ran into slow95z28(he bought a 2000 ws-6, m-6) at a car show... the show was kinda lame w/ nothing going on and nobody wanting to race so we decided to race ourselves... well from a roll 40-45 mph me and Slow took off, and i took him by ab a car or so, due to him not being the greatest driver in the world. We ran a couple more races from the same mph, and the gaps were getting closer(damn ls1's) bc he was improving his driving skills.... we finally get to pinemont, old school racing area that htown ppl know ab, and me and him line up heads up, we give three honks, and we take off, he spins bad, and i spin pretty bad too... but i ended up pulling ab a car and a half on him.... the next race from a dig, he gets a better launch, i pull ab a car on him, and he got me on the big end... and we cross the trap w/ my front on his rear tires...
then i raced jruss, he gave me 5 and the move, and he basically destroyed me on motor alone...

thanks... it was def. fun, too bad crager didnt show up w/ his 427 mti car, and joe in his 72 406 powered camaro... then we all would of had some fun.... cant wait till the summer though! Then it will take more than a cammed out ls1 to get me.... im coming after ya jruss

ummm... the 01 cobras... 4v n/a 4.6 ran 13.3's stock... so you put bolt ons on that, and i think it is a lil faster than a 13.1. like i said, it was all driver, and the poor stang only dynoed 228 stock versus the m-6 ls1 dynoing around 300 or so pending on factory freak or not, but yes, laugh it up, 228(which is pretty high for stock 2v)
, but i am a better driver, and i won some of the races....but just wait, twin hairdryers and an extra radiator is coming my way... and then its on like donkey kong

yes... after ford did not put out 320hp in the 99 cobras... and alot of pissed owners, ford took a year off(that is why there is no 00 cobra, only cobra R's) and re released the 01 cobra w/ the improved 4v making around what an ls1 makes... running ab 13.3's out of the box, just like mach 1's... only diff w/ a mach 1 is the obivous intake and other minor diff. but it all depends on the drivers... that is why there are high 13 sec z0-6's...

So your saying an 01 Cobra stock vs 01-02 LS1 is a drivers race? I put a couple cars on one when i was stock, but hey it must have been drivers error. Good kill nonetheless

that is true.... majority wont... hell majority dont even take their cars to the track, but if you put a bad *** driver in an 01 cobra... stock vs. stock 01 ls1 it will be a good race... car and driver, and MM&FF squeezed out good times if im not mistaken... but yes... when it comes to the 4v motors after 99, they are bad *** cars... just like the mach 1's...same motor diff intake
