First time out on the hoosiers
Today I went to the track for the first time with my 12 bolt and my Hoosiers. The rear has 4:30's so that kind of screwed me because I had to shift to 5th. right before the traps and that also shows by my low mph. I would of got 4:10's but I bought the rear used from a guy that had a cam so thats why it has 4:30's. But I was very happy for running that time and still having to shift into 5th.
60 ft.1.751
1/8 7.833
1/4 12.180
MPH 112.49

Re: First time out on the hoosiers
Assuming a stock size tire, you should only be seeing ~6300rpm @ 112mph...
You shouldn't have to shift into 5th gear. If nothing else, you'd probably have better results by just riding out 4th gear, even if you touch the rev limiter briefly...

Re: First time out on the hoosiers
Yea i kept it in 4th. for my first run and it hit the rev limiter pretty good. I only hit 111 mph on that run. Also I'm using 26x11.5 QTP's.
