Default Spacer help

Well I just picked up a set of draglites and was wondering what everyone was using for spacers - if any - for both the front and rear. The rears are 15x10 w/ 7.5 backspacing, the fronts are 15x5. I am probably going to switch out the fronts to 15x3.5 so what size spacer for both fronts if different? I know I'll have to take the grinder to the calipers - but I'd like to do as little grinding as possible.

Thanks

I know the 15x3.5s generally require a 5/16 spacer.

5/16 spacer in the rear as well. you can grind down the fronts to delete the spacer. you can in the rear as well, but it takes a hole buttload of grinding

Thanks for the help. I'd like to avoid as much grinding as possible - but I know there is going to be some no matter what.

We had to use a 5/16 spacer on the front and the rear until Madman put on Strange front racing brakes. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Now I only run the 5/16 spacer in the rear. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Yes, we ground the S$$t out of them. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Good luck. <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" />

I have both 3.5" and 5" draglites for the front. I had the 3.5" first and ran a 5/16" spacer. I later purchased the 5" for legal street use and to my amazement the 5/16" spacer was not enough. I had to grind the calipers quite abit to get them to fit even with the spacer.

Recently I ground the calipers even more to get the 3.5" to fit without the spacer. I then put the 5" rims on and I had to grind the calipers quite abit more to get them to fit without the spacer.

Pics of the front caliper grinding area's on on my web site.

Good luck,
