What is the difference between H-beam and I-Beam Rods? What is the difference between H-beam and I-Beam Rods? I see that that the SLP comes with the I beam, but other similiar setups come with H-beam rods . . . what is better

The diff is the beam will be shaped like an I-beam or an H. You would have to see a picture to understand. No, I am not being a smartass, it's hard to explain.
As for what Hysteria stated, I have to disagree. We used H-beam only in our really high HP engines, over 1200 hp but they were Alloy. A good rod will run you above $550 a set and they will come pre balanced and in a matched set. I run Lunati street-rods. They guarantee up to 450 hp but I have seen them behind 800+ hp and after tear down not one was bent beyond tolerance (.00021). they run $400 a set and are forged 4340. I have them in my wifes Impala SS, well in every engine I built for myself had them. Never had any problems. as high as 720 rwhp (on the juice) in my 70 chevelle. It ran 64 runs on track.
Also, Carrillo and Eagle make some outstanding rods.

That statement that I made is not from personal experience but by what Lunati explained to me the last time I was there when I asked them why their top of the line rod was of the I beam design and not H. They exlained to me that when the material and weight are kept the same the I beam design is stronger. They build them for a living, not me so that is the reasoning behind my statement.
