I know alot of people with f-body's and I can say your time is average at best.

I wouldn't call that average for a stock car...especially at that track. Most of the stock 6 speeds I see there are running low 14's. I plan to be there on thursday just to spectate for now. I hear it's looking like rain though. Good times.

Nice times man. I would say that was a better than average time. If that was bonestock without much weight reduction and on street tires.

Don't overlook the fact that the motor only has 500 miles on it. We all know that LS1's get faster with age. Very good times. Not the best, not the worst. Either way...nice run! FWIW, my bone stock '00 A4 only went 13.67 @ 104. M6's almost always outperform A4's from the factory. Watch out for those with a converter though.

IMO, all 01-02 M6's have the potential to run low 13's at 107-108 mph if driven properly. That's the hard part.

Tileman: Way to go...More miles, and if it's a cool day--it'll maybe go 12.90's...Best wishes w/the car. WJ.

Those times are very possible. My 2002 M6 ran 12.96 at 109mph with 800 miles on it when I got it last summer with a 1.98 60ft time, with only a lid.

I dont know about avg. but one of our guys averaged 12.80-12.90@111 in a bone stock 01'WS6 with Nitto's. His best ever was a 12.69@112 (I think that was a good DA day).

I may put my Nittos on this week and see what I can run...hopefully 12.90s

Blur, Pittsburgh Raceway park isn't open on thursdays yet, Sat. the 20th open for TNT...check out the new website.

I have a freind who went 12.7's @ 110 with a fully optioned '02 SS...... he did do the average free mods and gut the cats though. But the car came with the lid, center exit loud mouth and a hurst shifter sooooooo that is probably the main reason for those times.

13.17 @ 107+ is not exactly average in my book for a 100% purely BONE STOCK M6 LS1 as it came from the factory. Your average '02 M6 LS1 is probably running more like 13.6 @ 105 on norm(because of the person behind the wheel). And yes, they do have the potential to hit 12's the day they were shipped out of Canada.

Remember, it is the driver who is good/average/bad. We already know what these cars(M6's) can do.

That a pretty good run right on where they should be. Some faster some slower but thats in the top portion. Get soem more miles on her and some more seat time and ETs wil drop still.

13.5s is defintely not quite good in a M6 LS1 car, I ran 13.51 dead stock in a LT1 car, and we all knwo LS1s are a half second faster than LT1s right

grannyshift.13.5 in a LT1 stock,my 95(m6) only went 14.3 stock on a good weather day.my buds 95(a4)with 2,800stall headers, catback, ramair and slicks only went 12.9 13.1's.my boys 79 camaro running 13.9 14.0's would kill LT1's. has any one else seen a LT1 do 13,5's stock? i'm not saying it never happend,i just never seen it and would like to know how many other LT1's ran that good stock.

I have never seen a stock LT1 on street tires run anything less than a 14.0. I'm sure they have. I just haven't seen any.

a 13.50 lt1 is just liek the stock 12.80 ls1.... few and very far between and highly unlikely, but it happens

I started out n the 14.20s with the car and abotu 400 pases later 13.51 For the seat time I have in the car, I think it should go 12.90s Yes there is a bunch of peoeple on easternfbody.com that saw that run and a buddy of mine raced me on that pass. Theres anotehr guy that ran 13.52 with a tb bypass and K&n a few years ago in his 96, and my buddy went 13.44 with a coupe little things like later that day.

SLip was 13.51@140.3, 2.11 60 ft. Had more left in it, but I have just switche dback to the 3.42s and couldnt launch the car. Got a 1.97 on same setup a month later, but have a loss of mph (best since i got it hooking was 102)

Back on topic 13.17 is very good, but get some more seat time I bet theres a few more tenths left especially with low milage. Whats the car weigh by chance/ My grandmother has a 02 SOM WS6, best i could muster in that was a 13.30 but i cant drive LS1 cars well. Where were you shifting at?

TILEMAN
04-20-2003, 01:10 PM
shifting about 5800-6000...I don't know what the stock weight is, but I have not removed anything...plus I weigh about 200

I have a freind that has a 93 Z28 w/ a cold air kit, shift kit, possibly a small converter and DAYTON STREET TIRES and the car went 13.30's @ like 103! He claims that there is nothing else done to the car. I know there isn't a pulley or headers and I think he still has the cat's on the car and a Flowmaster muffler.

I think its hard to say that the car run that but it HURT my feelings when I saw it pop up on the boards at the track and my car was only running like 13.30's that day.
