I wonder if it is the software/piggy pcm back a friend of mine has. He is an accel distributor and has the only one I know of. It modifies some signals/tables from the stock pcm as well as has it's own tables on some things. I know it is boost/nos accepting as well... and the big one was it could be tuned in real time like DFI. This was supposed to be big in Australia... so I guess this is it. For some reason I can remember the freaken name of it though.

If you need to know I found some info on it. By the looks of it from the pics and specs it is similar to a standalone but it fits between the PCM and firewall. It does allow realtime editting datalogging etc... The price I could not find.

Here are the specs that I found so far.

I commented on that wireless part in another forum. Could be bad. You could end up with:
1) Fried PCM? (depending on how that thing works)
2) Being hacked. Right before a race would particularly suck.

Just some quick answers before I have a bite to eat.

Wireless Link is optional. Its based on TCP/IP, so anything goes. As far as anybody hacking into your PCM, that's about as secure as your Wireless Network. Currently there is WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol), as well as using different channels, hiding your SSID etc.

The specialised computer is only used for tuning/develpment. Once the computer program has been finalised, it is reflashed back into the customer's PCM.

The computer system isn't a piggy bank system. Its a modified version of the standard LS1 Computer.

The method of changing the computer has its own error protection so errors are highly unlikely.

Looks very much like the direct link that it used on the Turbo buicks and Grand Nationals as far as the scanning. Taps directly in instead of into the diagnostic port so faster scan rates. To bad pretty much a tuner option, although you can do everything with current setups just takes a little longer.

What would be really nice about it would be to hook your pcm through the internet and have someone in another state tuning your car while on the dyno.

Our package is capable of doing this although the specialised modified PCM would have to be installed in the target car. Although the technology is capable of doing this, I imagine most people would want to be present while a car is being tuned.

If you are going to that much trouble it ought to have a "self-tune" mode that monitors trims and dynamically adjusts the static tables. Then you could turn off "self-tune" once everything stabilizes.

We can easily incorporate "self-tune" as the PCM has its own WB A/R input socket which is processed by the PCM and is logged along with all the other Pids at 40 fps. WB A/F input to PCM is a 0 - 5 Volt signal so we can cater for many different brands of WB A/F Lamba meters.

Price for single users will be a little more than LS1edit.

Gains in performance cannot be compared with any other LS1 tuning tool.

Its ease of operation is similar to Motec or DFI.
