Nice and clean as usual. What did you use to hold the ttops up like that? That's something I haven't personally seen yet.

JackZ28 - They are actually 2 round wooden sticks painted black with a nail through it. I got the idea from OctaneZ28 at a show once.

99LSS1 - 6 cars total in my class. 3 f-bodies, 1 mustang, and 2 PT cruziers. I ended up taking 3rd place while 1st and 2nd went to the PT's. Its more of a local show and the judges are older, so they prefer the PT's. If I had a cleaner undercarrage I would have taken 2nd easy or even 1st. I always debate about putting a emblem on the grille, but I do like how it is now.

Holy ****. I can't believe they would pick P.O.S. Cruisers over yours. But that just goes to show you that some people have no class. At one of the shows we entered this year we got beat out by a 99 Corvette that had USA stuff and support your troops all over it. You could barely see the car through the memrobilia. And if you got close enough you could actually see how dirty the car really was. Oh well such is life. I do like your grille the way it is as well.

Looks very nice, I wonder what it would like with a blue bow-tie emblem on your grille and some retro Z-28 fender emblems?

W/ the grille he's got i think the bowtie wouldnt be as noticeable but yet if it were a satin or flat black it'd be overstated. I do prefer the retro emblems more tho on Zs. Either way, MadIce has gotten a badass car. Hope he doesnt injure his head anymore and actually sell it lol.

hey MadIce...........

sweet car, i've seen it a couple times on here but just noticed you're local.
like the way the Berger tail panel looks on there too.

just out of curiosity,.........my car too is pewter, and an SS. i just bought a carbon fiber hood from VFN and will likely be putting my stock one up for sale. just wondering if you prefer the flat hood look or if you've considered an SS hood to go with your spoiler?

let me know if you're interested by pm'ing me, and if not, maybe i'll see your car around some time.

later,
Dave

99LSS1 - Ya I agree with you, but then again one of those PT's was very nicely done over (new interior, custom paint job, decent rims).

tones2SS - Thanks and love the hugger orange you have. I was originally looking for that color back in 99, but then fell in love with pewter in 00.

My z28 your girl - My thoughts exactly . Suble darker versions of gunmetal too.

DARK AGE 53 - If I did the side retro badges I would fill them in black and keep the chrome outline. Same idea for the front bowtie (pewter, red, or black).

Ling_650vette - Heh, right now it doesn't appear I'll be selling the car... just have to change a few things. Still can't say I'm exactly sane though....

2crzy4u - Thanks. I do like how my hood looks, but I am definatly intrested in the hood; and you being quite local is even better. If you can give me a fairly good price on it, I'll take it off your hands 100%. Send me a PM of what you'd be asking for it and how soon you'd be selling.

abadss - Takes a lot of time to keep this sucker clean to, I do drive this quite a bit.

Hayze - Eh I just goto the shows for fun now. Heck even steve (for those who know who he is) lost at local car shows and his engine bay was near perfect.

Oh yea, also another big thing that I forgot to mention is that I recently put in a set of custom leather seats . You can somewhat notice them in the 1st photo... but here's a close up

*I still need to update my site soon and put all the photo's I took from the car show.

those seats look awesome! i dont like it when someone gets a crazy bright color inset in thier seats, but that looks great. did you have someone local do it? i would love to do something like that in mine, but havent seen anything that appeals to me until now. how much did it cost, and time did it take?
