A.C. Delete has anyone.......
Has anyone deleted all of the AC crap from the engine compartment. I mean how difficult is it to remove the inside bolts and does the heat still work?

Heat will still work, compressor, condensor, and all the lines will come out, takes about 20-25 minutes w/proper hand tools... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Removing your A/C and heater box makes a world of difference in the engine compartment. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
All kinds of room to change plugs. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />
I think we saved about 43 pounds by removing everything. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Tom The Roofer bought an aftermarket heater from Summit. something like that will work just fine for keeping the heat. there are plenty of aftermarket heaters you could use from electric to water fed. JC Wittney sells quite a few heaters

I've done the same, and eventually need to pick up an electric heater to put in the dash. Besides taking everything out, you need to fabricate the blockoff plate (like the one in the picture, that is well done) and blockoff the two holes in the waterpump.
