Default i need more

Well, the mod bug bites again, i thought i would be happy with a cam but no...i want more ! By looking at the numbers that my car made with the 224, what do you think it would take to get at least 440 rwhp out of it? You think it would be possible to do with the 224?

Get you a real nice set of LS6 heads and a 230 or better cam. That should get you there or better.

I would doubt it. If you want 440 you might need a different cam, but i bet with a good set of ls6 heads you'd get 415-430.

i just did a search and read up on the fact that Edelbrock is making a LS_ head . Looks like i will just have to wait just a little longer to put on heads. Since they said Nov maybe by next spring some good porters can get to work on these and i can have a good idea which is the head of choice and have it in my car by summer.

A very good set of 4.8 or LS6 heads with alot of compression may get you there...say 11.5:1, pulley and 80mmTB...you should be real close.
But for $500 more you might as well go with a nasty cam...for the sound anyhow.
