Default 90mm still good on stock cubes?

I am planning on mildly building an ls1 for a swap application, It'll have full exhaust, no cats, cam, stock internals and stock heads, I'd like to go with a different intake manifold mostly for looks but also for flow, question is this...if I might go with heads later, is a 90mm tb and intake setup worth the extra money, or is it worthless without additional cubes?
Thanks for the input

Worth $1400 FAST style? My own opinion, no. BUT, I'm sure there are many here that would concur. You'd gain from the 90mm setup if you went for both cam and heads, but where it'd REALLY shine is with additional cubes. People I met that have tried gained from 6-20 (or so)hp on cam/head cars. All depending on many diff. things obviously. You could go for an LS-2 intake and T-body setup. It'd save you a lot of $$$...

Does anybody offer a kit for the LS2 intake yet? I was reading a couple posts about it, but no one seemed ready to sell a fully bolt on kit yet....

I dont see a use for it unless your have a 230+ cam that likes the other side of 6400. I have a T1 in my car right now and im shifting at 6200 and I think it would be totaly useless to upgrade for the size cam I have. The LS6 dosent drop off till around 6600 so I wouldnt worry about it.

Default FAST is all around the one to go with..

I say FAST all the way but some guy's don't have the cheese to lay it down...I plan on going fast an as all of us gear heads know, speed cost $$$$....The intake IMO is worth it as per what I've ready the last 6 months or so.....

'Not having the cheese', and having it and not seeing the intake set's value @ anywhere near it's cost are completely different situations...It all depends on the app. He's talking about a mild setup and cam, not a full H/C car. Gains would probably be minimal and would cost around $1400. I'd suggest an LS-2 intake, and whichever 90mm throttle body suites the budget thereafter.

B1 cam here with stage 2 heads and I got 27 rwhp more out of my 90mm set up over my LS6 intake and ported T/B.

on stock cubes and a huge cam it's really hard to tune for idle but top end power is killer
