where do you install the temp sensor into the trans?

its a plug on the drivers side, just above the shift linkage.

i mean the size of the plug. also could i just use any type of oil temp GAUGE with sending unit?

autometer's will work great. i have phantom temp gauge, and the sending unit bolted right in the hole on the drivers side.

i cant remimber the exact size but it has a 12 or 13mm head on it. why do you ask? what ever sinder the automere comes with is a direct fit. the one i got was only 40$
