Default Street Race...

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this.. but... Anyways I drive a '98 Ws6 M6, I got a air lid, and cat-back... Theres one of my friends that wants to race me in his '99 Cobra, he's got H-pipe back, 4.11 gears cold air and pullies... I've ran my car up at the track doing a 13.4 so I know I can get at least that time if not better.. He never has raced at the track, but he want to race me on the street.. I've seen the car go and i dont think its that fast.. What do you guys think?? Should the Cobra be faster?? Thanks Chris

Unless he has some nice tires, I think those 4.11's are going to hurt him more then help him from a dig.

You'll beat him pretty easily.

Actually no.

If the 99 cobra has the fix, he can drip mid 13's stock. Then with the 4.11's he is looking at low 13's with any sort of traction.. that is STOCK power. With a few mods.. maybe upping him 20rwhp... he is looking at low 13's easily with any sort of traction.

Good luck.

Key, traction. Unless he has slicks those 4.11's are going to hurt him more then help him, as I said before.

Nitto drags.. BFG Drags... or any moderately sticky street tire is more then adequate.

I have a bad habit of using the term "slick, and E/T streets" interchangably.
