Default comp cam 222/224 566/568 lsa 112

how streetable is this cam, i have a 2000 camaro 6 speed, ls6 intake, lt headers, ported heads. i want something streetable, that does't surge at all, i know this cam will need computer modifactions, i have edit, can all the tunning be surged out of this car, and doesn't jerk at low rpms.

I was talking to a CC tech guy the other day about this cam. I was looking for something that comp had that would be similar to the TR 224 .563 112lsa. He claims the lobes are very close to the TR. By todays standards both of these cams are pretty tame and very streetable. Comp also said that they would grind a 224/224 at no extra charge. I think that there was +2* advance ground in both the 222/224 and the custom 224/224, which I don't understand because I thought all the Comp cams had +4* ground in.

Should be a nice and easy to tune cam with baby street manners.
Nothing crazy just a good mid range.

well i have the same cam but on a 114 because COMP said it should pass smog no problem. before i tuned it it had a bit of low speed surging and bucking... it also had aflat spot under 3K. mods in sig, with my cut out open...(no cats) it is ****** LOUD!
and has an AWSOME LOPE! i never thought a 114 could sound this good!
and when runing threw my stock cat back you can still tell its cammed but barely...

tuning did fix 98% of the surging, bucking.! and the power band is smooth as hell!
i really like this cam for smog cars.... although now id love a bigger cam! but this is a great cam for CA guys!

i can smell fuel but thats because of the LT's and (no cats) and cut out....

but in all its a great cam... power comes on strong around 3K and redline comes very fast! every grear pulls so ****** hard now!
