Default TA vs Turbo civic

Raced a Turbo civic this evening, kinda fun. He wanted to go from a roll but I wasn't gonna bite that from a turbo car. I said dead stop or no go, he complained - my reply....."top fuel cars don't start from a roll". peer pressure must have bit in cause he finally agreed to it. HEHEHE now he's in my house!!! got to the light and it went green and poof...I had 6 cars or so on him, he did catch up to about my rear quarter panel but thats as far as he could get. He let out first and took his licking like a bitch and gave me props on my car, and I gave him his a$$ on a plate!!! It was a good running car, I won't take that away from, him but not enough to wax an LS1. God I love this car!

Good kill there. It's fun to laugh at turboed Civics until one beats you.

LOL southfl.01.ss, so so true. I got my doors blown off by a boosted hatch this past friday. He wanted to run from a roll, I agreed. The first dead giveaway should have been the 26" tall drag radials mounted on 15" ssr's. We went from a second gear roll and by the end of 3rd I was looking at his rear bumper. We ended up chatting at a gas station and he said he's putting down just a tad over 400whp but when you weigh 1800lbs that makes for one quick ride.

Good kill, sounds like a good race but your right from a stop with a FWD turbo car on the street is about useless. Also there is no need to call him a bitch for him giving respect to your car, that just makes you look like a ***.

It's a figure of speech but thanks for the opinion, If I had lost I would have taken it like a bitch also so it all works out in the end. I was pretty sure if he was at a dead stop I could get him so thats how the terms were set, I have had several turbo cars and actually still have a turbo mustang as a street/strip car, I does have an auto trans with a 'brake so I can spool it and I knew he wouldn't have that option, I guess it was kinda unfair but he did agree to it.

I understand, that's cool man. Like you said though, if he agrees to the race then it's fair game

Its strange, here locally it seems all the ricers are getting turbos or at least that deal that imitates a bov noise One of my favorite hobbies now is to drive by places where they park on the cruise strip, get a little into boost, let off and let them hear my HKS racing bov. Their mouths always drop. I feel like I took away the only advantage they had on V8 cars.

yeah i live in arlington,tx. and all the turboed cars want to go from a roll and not from a stop against us muscle cars. THey suck form a roll unless you know how to drive them.

sn8ke-eater those 4.10 will help better for racing but the 3.73 are better for the highway it depends what you want.

The absolute bar none fastest car ive ever seen on the street as a little green CRX. I mean this thing was dragster fast. Wound out 4 gears in a quick 0-100 quicker than my eyes could keep up. I have no idea what he did to the car, since he was headed in the other direction at a light. Ive seen cars pull wheel stands before but Ive never seen anything this fast on the street. Damn. I guess hondas can be made fast, huh. Good kill, sucks that he would have pulled you from a roll, but good job holding him off.

How about the part where you said you pulled 6 cars on him off the line and by the end he was at your rear quarter. That guy must have some wicked trap speed. How far did you run? More or less than a 1/4?
