I have a 2001 camaro ss with twin turbos,NOS,BMR everything & K-member. I only want to weekend road race and be able to go to track with friend. If iI am right to be legal at track I need 6point weld in (only weld hoop & rear points). I was told i would be f-body unlimited for autocross. Can my rear points cross and still be legal at drag or do I need 8point, 4 in the rear(2cross & 2 straight to speaker holes. Do I drag or autox <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" /> can't I do both

F-body unlimited? I didn't know that was a class. Anyway, with the turbos, it'll prob put you in CP, and you can't use NOS while autocrossing.
As for a cage, it doesn't matter for autox. Just get what's legal for drag and it'll be fine for autox.

OK...I am currently on the SCCA's SVR Region's Solo Board. So, here it goes....
The only class your car (without NOS) will fit into is E Modified. (SCCA dosn't allow NOS on any car, you might even be asked to remove the bottle) Keep in mind that in this class, you'd be racing against pretty much anything with 4 wheels and fenders. As an example: Mazda TT Rotary powered MG Midget this combo has well over 300 hp and still weighs 1500 lbs.
Street Modified would be a choice if you lost the Turbos. (The Forced Induction limit is at like 3L)
CP would by out of the picture (NO TURBOS), the only thing you can change on the engine is anything in front of the TB and the exhaust, NOT including turbos.
As for your cage, it should be fine. You only need a 6pt cage and it can be bolted or welded. There is a minimum Wall Thickness/ Diameter required for the weight of the car. I can't seem to remember wat it is right now. I will look it up and post it. Another thing, if you run with a cage, you have to have a racing harness.
Hope I helped

ok so drag raceing rules are under 11.99 6point weld and the rear bars can cross, and with these cross bars no extra rear bar are needed. So weekend roadraceing will allow any roll bar as it is for safty. But if i raced in a SCCA class then there would be different rules.
