Default Rear-end work done... Is this correct??

About 2 months ago I had some rear end work done. They replaced the crush-sleave seals, bearings, ect... I noticed when I was under the car this weekend that my drive shaft rotates about 1/8th (maybe a little more) of a revolution before the gears catch and it stops. If I turn it back and forth there is a clank noise when it hits the gearing and stops.

If that's not too cear; imagine this. You are looking at your drive shaft. You rotate the drive shaft (as if you are trying to turn the wheels) and it rotates about 1/8th of a revolution before it engages to move the wheel. Then going in teh opposite direction it does the same thing. Each time it engages to move the wheels tehre is a clanking noise....

Any thoughts???

I did a quick search but did not find anything of use...

That's normal....there's backlash in the gears and slop in the spider gears.
