what was the point of installing the T-Rex if your not even shifting at the optimum range . i believe jason shifted his @ 7k for the best et. Smokin01TA is up there im sure as well, 6900 or so IIRC.

Well its my daily driver, I plan on a forged 408 soon. Im just wondering when the trex quits pulling. I remember a graph going up to 7200 with a trex but I cant seem to find it.

I dont even think the trex peaks until until 6500. After that it looks like the graph is flat until atleast 7k rpm.

408+Trex= one bad motha! I can spin this cam all the way to 7100 rpm with no problems on my a4. It just keeps pulling on the top end. i was very pleased, since I went from a stock ls1 on the juice, to a 408 iron block (with trex cam) with nitrous. Good luck with the setup and keep us up dated!

Mine will hit the 7400 RPM limiter pretty fast! I shift around 7100 normally, but I swear it still feels like it's pulling hard past that. Your only just starting to use the potential of this cam when it reaches 5500 RPM and above...

I was turning my stock 346 LS1 with the T-Rex to 7200 rpms going across the finish line.

I made 120 passes doing this. She is sitting in my garage just waiting to go back in the Hot Rod. Most likely she will get a freshen up 1st.

i've seen 1 guy at the track rev it to 8000k on a forged 382 all bore. i sat in the car during his last 1/8 mile run and couldn't believe my eyes as he burried the stock tach then the shift light came on a few milliseconds later

Stock pistons etc. I have upgraded rods, springs, timing chain and oil pump but the rest is stock.

I dont spray it at 7k are you crazy, the juice cuts at 6800 haha, if it blows just a better reason to upgrade and go with a forged stroker!!

Shift is 500 past peak power.
I don't have a Trex but have around 400 passes @7k on a stock bottom end.
No problems yet.
