Anything metal can be polished. Some of the harder metals just require a little more elbow grease! Everything metal under the hood can be polished to a brilliant luster. Good luck.

I'd like to polish my air conditioner condenser. I've seen a few cars that have done that before, and it looks pretty cool.

Dremel makes a polishing kit with compound and wheels etc... It is pretty cheap, also. I just started trying different wheels and experimenting. So far I have polished my MAF housings. Came out real well. TB is next on the list.

You might give that a try.

How to Polish

michelinss what parts on my ss can be polished is it just the aluminum parts or can other metal parts be polished also which parts are aluminum
Metal parts are hard to polish and they will rust if not clear coated.

Here are some parts I just polished that are metal...

After...(I did not detail the washers, they will not be seen) These are the sway bar brackets ect..

Before...

i guess this question will fit with this topic, would i be able to use like polishing compound (the stuff found down the ''car care'' isle at any store) with the polishing attachments on a dremel to polish metal and such, or do i need to get the polish that dremel sells, or is there something else i can get?

Some polishing compound is really metal cleaner. Make sure you use White Rouge & Tripoli. The surface contact area on a dremmel will make it hard to polish larger parts also the wheels get dirty and you have to throw them away very often.

They are polishing compounds. The local hardware store should carry them.
