Question Strange Aluminum Support Cover?

I am looking at the Strange 12-bolt. One of the options is "Aluminum Support Cover".

How does having this option help?
Is it stronger than the regular cover?
Or is it just prettier?

I was told by a Strange tech that it is stronger than the regular cover. Plus it has the drain plug. Oh, and of course it is prettier. I just ordered my Strange 12bolt last week. I got the alum cover and the chrome-moly yoke.

9"s don't have covers. The aluminum cover helps in that it has load bolt/supports that go up against the bearing caps. Also, magnetic drain plug plus prettier.
