Default KR problem

i have been trying to work my KR out for sometime. when logging from 0 - XXX i see no KR. but when i am cruising and punch it - i get crazy KR...anywhere from 1-2* to 5-7*. the KR is always is the same area on the timing table 3600-6000 rpm / .72-.84 g/cyl...any ideas???

I used to get KR around 3600 and 4800 all the time with the #@!% UD pulley.

I still rarely get a tiny bit (<1.5*) around 3600 in situations similar to what you describe. I have seen several folks post about having KR when the converter unlocks. You might try logging the TCC duty cycle and see if this correlates with the KR. Or you could manually drop it into 3rd gear before punching it and see if that helps.

Also, the transient fueling references the VE table. Perhaps fattening up the VE table in the affected area might help. jimmyblue has reported some success in dealing with tip-in KR in this way.

do you think belt slippage from a shift kit would do it...the belt squeeles pretty good when downshifting...
