New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - met some "cool" LS1 owners last night

so last night i went out with some of my buddy's to a local hang out spot. i pulled up parked and went in to use the bathroom. by the time i came out there was a huge crowd around my car. i started talking to some guys and there were two there with their trans ams. they both kept talkin down their cars and that they were slow. then they started to try and hustle me. "you wanna race" .... " man that cavalier could beat me" i asked one of the guys what kind of exhaust he was running and he told me slp cat back, so i said can i hear it. it turned out he had slp headers dumped off. right then i started getting pissed cuz they were both trying to hustle me. then i walked up to the other guys TA and started checking it out and i noticed a NOS bottle with a frickin strobe light behind it. i walked up to this kid and told him that if he was gonna try and hustle me that he should turn his fuckin gay ass strobe off so i couldnt see the bottle. then his fuckin girl started getting on my case...."come on race him" i was like why? id rather just give him the $300 he wanted to race for so i didnt waste gas too. sorry for the rant but these guys just pissed me off.

Good for you, dont let the "street racers" hustle, your pretty sharp though, not many people would have seen that coming!

Good idea about asking what kind of exaust they have. It leads to "let me hear it".

What really sucks is that they think they're the only ones that know anything about cars. You should have started telling them what they have done to their cars, give them a big :wave-fing and walk off.

First of all if they were trying to hussle you,they did a poor job. I think they might have been joking around.

one had a blue trans am and he looked arabic or somethin, and the other one had a balck TA and looked like your typicals daddys boy where his dad buys everything. both the TAs were stock in appearance.

any time people want to race my friends camaro, he just says its a V6 (its really a squeezed 383 LT1) and about two weeks ago, some guy in a LT1 formula wanted to race me, i could clearly see his true dual dumps, 315 DRs on the rear, and when i asked about the cam, he said what cam, its got a slight misfire
