miles until rebuild
Ive seen quite a few high milage LS1s and was wondering when things really start to go bad with them. When(how many miles) do you think that the engine will need to be rebuilt?

It realy does not matter how many miles are on it. It is more in the way you drive it. Say if you drove with the throttle to the floor. I dont think it would last past 30k. My budy blow his up in 4 hours. Just ran the **** out of it. He then blow up his 03 cobra with 160miles on it. First thing he did when he left the dealership was smoke the tires and do some donuts and race a ZO6. Then on the way home in 4 gear at red line BOOM that was all she wrote. So it is not how many miles it is how u drive it.

If driven correctly it will last for ages, when compression drops and engine starts leaking its time for rebuild.
I would compression test every 10,000 miles and leakdown test every 20,000 miles to see how it is.
