Default Oil Bypass Filter

I've been reading up on oil and oil filter options for my 99 Z28. Has anyone here installed or considered installing an oil bypass filter, such as sold online by companies like Oilguard? ...and I think AMSoil sells a spin-on kind.

There's lots of discussion on oils and filters here; I was kinda surprised I couldn't find any posts on this topic.

I would welcome any experienced opinions!

There are 2 types of oil filters; full flow, which is standard on all cars, and so called "bypass" which means all the oil does not have to flow through the filter. The more 'foreign material' the by-pass filter picks up, the more it restricts the oil flow through it. As with most liquids, oil flows in the least restricted path meaning less and less goes through the by-pass filter.
IMHO, and that of ALL MAJOR (amsoil is not MAJOR) oil companies, by-pass filters are worthless. The only people recommending them are the ones selling them!
Don't waste your time and $$.
