That cam on a 113 lsa shouldnt be bad at all on the street. I wonder what kind of power it puts down.

it puts down some wicked power. drivability is pretty good, especially if your tune is good and you have the supporting mods(gears/stall).

I've been driving my Magic Stick r3 on the street for a month now. This was my first cam so i don't have much to base it on, but this thing is insane.

Here's the rumble:

that sounds bad ***! ...

i would like to know how it responds if you nail it with the rpm's kinda low, like 2000 or so .... does it instantly pull like a sack of hell or is a stock cam more peppy down that low

reason i ask is because, lets just say that you ease away from a redlight and then lay into it ... well i want the car to take off like a bat out of hell rather than running so so and then pulling like a raped ape once it gets up to 4000

this cam is meant for high ratio gears. i still have 3:42's so i really shouldn't comment on the low end because that just wouldn't be fair, but i will say that i am more than happy with the way this cam runs at ALL rpm's... and this is with a stock tune at the moment.

I think I will swap over to the magic stick after I do heads, clutch, and a rear this summer. It should make some good numbers with a nice set of heads.

Im assuming that cam can go in a stock motor with no clearance issues? I dont know how they did it but this LS1 has high compression and can run some hella big cams without hitting the pistons.

What springs do they suggest for that cam?

this cam clears pistons on engines with stock unmilled heads. the first a4 they put this in made over 400rwhp with only bolt-ons - search for the post.

I am running the V1 cam which is close (238/242 .605/.610 112+4) and I drive the car all the time on the street with this cam. Mine pulls instantly. Like today I was normally coming up to a light and all the sudden it turns yellow so I lay into it to make it through and it didn't hesitate one bit.
Check out the lines on my graph www.texas-speed.com/caindyno.jpg
I also have the TSP race heads on the car too
