if your serious about any kind of tuning do it once and do it right. hp tuner or edit if you have to.

if i was to buy hp tuners, and install a cam, is there a predetermined program for certian cams? i was just wondering if i would be able to do this myself

There isn't a "predetermined" program for any cam with HP Tuners. HP Tuners gives you the capabilities to custom tune your car for your individual needs. What's nice about HP Tuners is that it is a scanner, logger and flasher all in the same package. You could do this yourself but it will take some dedication and time on your part. This site and the HP Tuner site has a lot of information but you will need to do a lot of reading and searching like me. Good luck and I say go for it. The more you know about your car, the better off you'll be and it will be much more rewarding.

and yes i use it. on a stock motor with only a SLP airlid, i gained .2 and 1.4 mph in the 1/4 mile. i used the hiperf/stock cam +10% timing to get that increase.
