Street Racing & Kill Stories - 03 Cobra Vert Vs. LT1

The other week I was cruising back to Cragers house with him when low and behold Joe (ex ss ve) gets next to me with a huge smile on his face. We were doing about 60 or so when Joe bounced the LT1 at me. :eek2: I'm game, so with all seriousness I turn to Crager and say "watch this it's going to be hilarious". ;) as I slide her into "race mode" aka "5th", and look over giving Joe the nod followed with a friendly bump of the gas. :engarde: In all the gas bumping that took place after I don’t know who went first, but it wasn't me.:lol: Anyways to make a long story longer we were off to a close start, and seemingly a close race, but then it happened. Within a moment of punching it I realized the worst had been confirmed, I was at half throttle. :lol: Stomping it near 90% :eek2: then on towards the floor we began to pull away. I shut down shortly after with a car or so between us and Joe. Crager and I laughing our asses off, and retire the LT1 killer for the night. :D

Just goes to show, you shouldn't underestimate anything.. You might have a heart attack from the laughter that ensues shortly thereafter. ;)

LMAO.. I remember one time I saw a bonneville try to fly past me...I got all cocky and went half throttle.. I watched as he slowly kept going on by!!!! WTF! I missed the SSEI badge! Had to hurry up and reclaim my dignity... almost got beat for being dumb. LOL
