Cool Wacked a Ninja

A co-worker of mine has been running some praises about his bike at work lately. Thing is... its a '86 Ninja 900....He was claiming top speed in the 190's etc. Though I know better I have not contradicted his statements until yesterday with my Z doing the talking. I left work about the same time he did and followed within a carlength or two. When we got up around 70mph (with me holding out 3rd just in case I saw him lay into the throttle and lay down on the bike. I nailed it and pulled slowly at first, then came around him really hard around 140 mph. I held it to the floor till around 160mph with him WAY back. We talked about it this morning and he was frankly amazed he was passed by a car. lol. Well even though it is an ancient relic of a bike its still a bike kill.

What mods do you have, I know it was an old bike but still the power and weight ratio just doesnt seem to add up, not BS but just wondering what you have done?

My car is far from stock, and power to weight ratio really plays a very small role at high speeds. This is why he was so suprised as well.

Yup... aerodynamics play a MUCH bigger role at high speeds. You clearly had the advantage from that standpoint. You gonna tell us what is done though? or is it hush hush...

Oh, and Nice Kill!!! Nothing like hurting the ego of an ill-informed co-worker...

Cool

Car just has a few boltons, weldons and boltins. There are definitely alot faster Z's here in Houston. Dont know those guys except for talking to Alex here a couple of times. Im always up for meeting some fellow Ls1/Ls6 drivers though. It was fun to educate a fellow co-worker, hehe. Though what we did on a Fm road in Mexico really wasnt the smartest.
