LM1 & RPM Converter - Hook up?

LM1 & RPM Converter - Hook up? Hi Folks
I have installed my LM1 WB O2 sensor - worked great but I needed to know the RPMs, so I purchased their RPM Converter vs going thru the A/C input. I felt it was the easiest to do without going thru calibration, etc.
Hookup Question: I believe I can hookup the RPM input to coil #1, Purple wire (4 pin connector) – is that correct? Second question: do I set the unit up to 1 cylinder because we have 8 coils?
