Generally you will need a good set of heads, good headers & exhaust and the right camshaft. Some compression ratio won't hurt you either. This can be achieved with a hyd roller but will be easier to achieve with a solid roller cam. Either way it can be done. Let us know if you need any help.
Thanks

It's guaruntted that you will spend a good bit of money trying to accomplish this goal. Also, by the time you do accomplish it, you'll find that you have chased a peak number and no longer have the low-end for good daily driving. If your building a track car that only see the upper RPM's, than ok, but if your looking for good all around driveability, you might be barking up the wrong tree. If you'd like to stay more driveable and you are already building a foged bottom end, then I would look into going ahead and getting a good 4" crank. The added cubic inches will help you get there alot easier and keep things more tame. Either way, APE is a great shop and they should be able to get you there one way or another.

If you already have the bottom end torn apart might as well throw in a bigger crank. A 500rwhp 346 has no street maners. You can do a 382 solid roller and that will put you over your goal, that along with some bad *** heads and it wont be much that can outrun you on the street.

Sure, buy a crank, and then buy the new pistons, rings, and the other extras that would be needed as well. It's not as easy as just throwing in a larger crank...I'm right with you with the same goal. It's doable, and 'street manners' are fine with the right cam, and not to mention, the right tuner. 481rwhp with 434rwtq was made just the other day with a fair, 234/238 hydro cam, and AFR heads. Soon after, they hit 486hp with the same car. Just find a good tuner that knows his stuff, discuss your goal, and prepare to take out a second mortgage. I believe LG Motorsports had a 346 car that put out 502rwhp with a doable cam not too long ago. There are a good buch hitting the 470-480 mark now. It's just a matter of time before the average is 480rw...

great heads, near 290-300 cfm through your intake, big cam matched to the heads, 11 + SCR, full bolt ons, and a great tune. you'll also need the fuel sytem upgraded, clutch/big stall, gears, rear end, suspension.
if your building a strictly 1/4 mile car work from the rear forward. you dont need alot of power to go fast in the 1320. traction and weight reduction go along way.

im already running a 4400 stall i started on weight reduction. As far as the 382 goes what whould a rotating assembly cost. As far as machine works goes im not fimilar with the LS1 but i assume u need the same things as a normal SBC done. What kinda power whould i need to run a mid to low 10seconds with assuming i have tracting.

It might not make any power at all.
The T-Rex cam was never designed to run with modified cylinder heads. PTV with stock cylinder heads is close enough as it is. You'd be better off using a cam that is designed to work with ported cylinder heads.

check the drag racing forum and timeslip data base, look what kind of setups the mid 10's guys are running. theres more then one way to hit the same goal, 01-z just did 10.6@126 cam only, you can bet he's nowhere near 500rwhp .
