Default Anyone familiar with 6 pinion planetaries for a 4L60E?

I know that 4 pinions are stock and most hi-po rebuilds use 5 pinion planetaries, but I was just informed by the shop who is going to do my rebuild that he is going to install 6 pinion planetaries in my build. Anyone ever heard of these, or should I run fast and far from this shop? Just a novice at trannies trying to get my money's worth.

I have seen 6 pinion planetaries for Ford transmissions, but not for the 4L60E.
Adding pinions reduces torque per pinion, increasing overall torque capacity for the assembly, but on the other hand, thats more contact area generating heat.

more pinions does reduce the load per pinion, but you reduce the strenght of the carrier. 5 pinion 4L60 no 6 pinion. the problem is, as those of you that have read my posts, second gear is overdriving low. that's what the 2-4 band does, puts a tremendous load on the od unit. as again good luck
