Default Cams Designed Around Heads

W/ bigger and bigger cams coming out each day, and alot more people going toward cam only setups, what bigger cams are out there that still make great power and work w/ say S2 5.3's or some AFR's? I see alot of people become frustrated when they put in a big cam w/ a set of heads and don't pull a lot more power out of their setup than say the other cguy w/ the same boltons and just the cam. I know that H/C needs to be matched up pretty well, and I am wanting to go b/w 232-240 I would say w/ a 4000-4400 stall/12 bolt or at least 373's, to match the H/C setup. Just kind of looking for what to stay away from and what to look for in my continuing use of the search function--I did use it--promise

Sorry==I am talking about big cams that still work well w/ heads. Not a big cam only kind of cam that some people are looking at these days.

Any cam should make more power with heads. Just look for heads that flow well at the lift your cam will be bumping. Sounds too simple.

My biggest concern is a big cam that will clear most 2.02 valved 5.3 or AFR's.
