Default Piston Clearance ??

I am goin to be putting my 347 forged bottom end together soon and a friend (Sam98WS6) said that his #8 piston had a little notch in it to clear the reluctor wheel on the end of the crank.

well i looked over my pistons like 100000000000 times and still can't find that little notch, so i figured since i wasn't changing the stroke i wouldn't have to worry about the piston hitting the reluctor wheel.

any one know the answer?

Do you have Diamond pistons? I have also been told that the #8 has a little notch. My pistons aren't marked, and I cannot see any piston that has a notch in it. It's pissing me off.

Shouldn't this be an issue with a 4"+ stroke?

That is what i was thinking. You might have to have it notched. Now i am going to go out side and see if i can find a notch in my pistons.

Notch is not required on stock stroke.
