Default March Fluid Damper or ATI Super Damper?

I have searched and still want to know which one is best based off of my application. I got a 50/50 response and wonder if people's opinion have changed or if there is more info. I don't care about the price. I will buy what ever is best.

The engine will be a 383 all stroke. Will be used for Solo I and Solo II autocross and the occasional trip to the drag strip. It will spend lots of time in the upper RPMs. I don't think I will be spinning it over 6500. However, I have not decided on a cam yet.

So, if money was not an object in the decision, which damper should I get?
The ATI does seem to work really well above 6000 from what I have seen on the graph of its dampening.

I know the ATI is also ~$500. I dont' kow about the March one yet.

Thanks

Brad

Called summit and it is $225 for the march and $479 for the ATI.
Both are in stock.

I am still trying to find out if the March will work with AC. I do keep my AC operational since it gets hot in the car when I am waiting in the staging area before being able to hit the track

Only thing concerning me is that the ATI states "it helps eliminate crank torsional vibrations at 6000 plus RPMs". I won't be much above 6000 very often so I don't know if the fluid would be better below 6000?????

I have the March and it's a quality piece, but the ATI is a better dampner hands down. If you have the $, go with the ATI.

BADFNZ,
Does your March have the setup for AC?
Thanks

All you need is the March crank pulley. My AC blows cold, and I get excellent charging at 900 rpms on an M6. You can't even tell other than the extra power.

I've had no issues with my March pulley either.

It saw extensive high RPM duty at Texas World Speedway last weekend.

ATI all the way. Thats all we use in our race applications, and we have never once had an issue.

We can have these in a few days if you need one, give us a call.
