Default How much HP for Eagle rods?

I built a solid roller 388 all bore and used:

- stock crank (nitrided)
- eagle H-beam 6.300" SB rods (L-19 bolt version)
- Diamond forged pistons
- ARP main and head studs

I'm HOPING for about 475-500rwhp (if I can pull it off) N/A. I would like to then do a 200 or 250 shot of N2O on a direct port setup.

The car never sees the strip (it's my daily driver) and the N2O is more there just to have it/give me that little extra bit to deal with those pesky turbo mustangs on the highway (so the N2O gets hit from a roll).

So the question is "will it hold up"?

They should be good to go. I would not worry about them until close to 1000 HP. Eagle stuff is GREATLY underestimated.

When I called Eagle, they told me the rods were good to ~1400 hp with the L19 rod bolts.

PSJ's running Eagle H-beams with L19's in his blower car (over 700 RWHP).

Why such a long rod tho? (6.3")

I've never seen a broken Eagle rod due to a failure on the parts behalf. I have 6.250 Eagle H-Beams in my SBC Camaro and they are just fine. Greatly underestimated in my opinion.

I agree. We have quite a few shop cars and customer cars running Eagle rods (and a few cranks) varying from 300 whp turbo imports to 600+ rwhp Mustangs. Zero issues from Eagle parts so far. Probably one of the best bang for the buck parts companies around.
