Default Dyno Results: TSP 231/237 and Patriot 5.3 Stage II Heads

Got the car dyno'd this morning.

My baseline from the first time I went was 336/349 without the pulley but with the LS6 intake (Best Track time of 12.97@109.9 on a 2.0) My first night at the track pre-tuned yielded me a 12.6@114 on a 2.0.

This is all through a 9" rear, locker 35 spline axles and a twin disc clutch with the stock driveshaft (alum). Other mods in sig.

First Pull 390/369 -- A/F sitting around 13.4-13.6. I attempted to fatten up the add fuel for the mid-section to get some more torque and get the A/F down up top

Second Pull 395/372 -- I f'ed it up and multiplied the table wrong so it actually got even richer up top around 13.8.. Tweaked it again to attempt to fix my issues only from 5200 up.

Third Pull 400/380 (401.1/379.8 to be exact) and that is still around the 13.3 avg A/F. Even though I picked up 10/10 I know there's more in it but that should keep me nice and safe. I will probably fatten up the mid section and pull a bit more out on the top end and could get another 10hp out of it.

Like I said though all in all I wanted at least 400 out of it and got it. My car has always been special and not seemed to make as much as the average or "internet number" cars did.

Here's the graph (don't mind the numbers because the guy was mousing over a different data point:

Here my A/F on this run: As you can see I leaned the mid section out a bit too much so I'll need to fix that and smooth it out

If anyone has any ideas for me to re-tune I'm all ears

Cutout? It would help a bit over the Corsa.

no cutout.. yet at least. It is on the list of items for next year though.

I don't know what to think about the gains. I mean they are over 400 through a 9" but I (of course) was hoping for like 450. Not realistic maybe but hoping to settle for 420'ish. Like you said a cutout might be one piece of that puzzle.

I think the cutout could free up at least 10 ponies.

Check out my sig. I'm running a 9" also 31 spline axles though instead of 35.

I dunno about the cutout idea adding 10rwhp. I only gained 4rwhp @ 5rwtq with my 3" QTEC over my Corsa runs. Overlayed the graphs were identical cutout open vs Corsa until 4500rpms where the cutout started to pull a tad more. Nowhere through the curve were the gains above 5rwhp @ rwtq. I think the numbers are reasonable as you due have a heavy drivetrain compared to someone dynoing thru the 10 bolt @ stock gears. Get it to the track and see what she does! Congrats!

on my old setup I went 342/338 w/ a cutout only the gain was 14rwhp. Then I put the PPC LT's on and a 228/228 .581 .581 on a 112lsa, and got to 378/369 Then I went to the LSX intake from the LS1 and went to 403/378. So all in all, with what I think was a small cam, it put down some good #'s. I now have a 370ci w/ a LARGE cam, and Patriot LS6 Stage III heads. #'s soon to come, but, your going with a 9" so I would be happy over 400 w/ no cutout you'll get atleast 10-15rwhp from it GoodLuck

Those are nice #'s. I'm sure you'll be happy with the way your car drives.

Just FYI -- higher A/F numbers mean that you are leaner. I.E. 13.5 is leaner than 12.5. You don't want to be up in that 13+ range.
