Default Bosh platinum 4 or NGK?

About a year ago I did a head and cam swap. At that time I switched to Bosh platinum 4 plugs.

I blew a cam sensor recently so the top of the engine is off and I am replacing a few things like plug wires.

Should I bag the Platium 4's and go with the NGK's? I read that NGKs are the preferred plugs for our engines but the Bosch's have work OK so far. I haven't pulled any plugs yet so I don't know how they are holding up.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Bosh 4s are just a marketing gimmick, they are bad. Go with NGKs copper and change them twice a year. They're cheap and good.

+4s are probably the worst plug on the market. I ran them in my beater Civic and pulled them out after 3K, they're JUNK.

I hate Bosch plugs more than I hate Pat Green's music. That's pretty bad.

I agree with the others, get some NGK's. TR55s if you are running N/A, TR6s if you're spraying

Run the standard factory plugs, nothing wrong with them.

Are you kidding me? They suck! The platinum often burns off them, causing the gaps to open up a lot. I've owned a number of GM vehicles and in every case when I've pulled out the OEM platinums, they were in rough shape, even with low mileage. There is no way these plugs looked anywhere near ready to go 100k. I pulled out the OEM plugs in my C5 at 32k and they were causing 7 degrees of Knock Retard! The gaps were all way off due to the platinum pucks being mostly gone.

NGK is the way to go.

NGK hands down. They are cheaper and better.

TR55 for N/A

TR6 for N20

I've run both, just yanked out the NGK'S and put the Bosch's back in work fine on my ride.

I guess NGKs are the ****? I have never used them. Back when my IROC's 383 was built by Pacific Performance in Huntington Beach, the owner told me to not use Bosch Platinums. He told me to simply go with the AC Delcos and change them every 12~15K miles. They were a lot easier to take out of a 3rd gen than a 4th gen, so I guess that doesnt help too much here. What makes the NGKs so much better?
