CC of chamber in LS6 heads?
I have from time to time thought of getting some take-off LS6 heads when I have the money (after my new rear end and slicks).... because I think they'ld be pretty cheap. I was wondering what the volume of the combustion chamber is on LS6 heads and what they are on stock LM7 (5.3) heads. The LS6 heads make a 9.5 c/r on a stock motor, so I was wondering what LS6 heads would do to that?
Also... isn't there work that can be done to raise the C/R.... I'm not talking about milling.... I've heard of some procedure (if I was listening right) where new metal is beaded into the combustion chamber and smoothed out.

Cool, thanks for the info
Maybe I should streamline my questions here:
You have now established that the LS6 heads have 64cc chambers
What is the volume (in cc) of the combustion chambers on stock 5.3L heads?
What compression ratio will the LS6 heads make on a 5.3L?
Thank you,
Derek
