It's only had the C5-R block in for 5 days, but the car has had a 454 LS1 in it for over two years.

How did the LS1 swap go initially into the Imapla? Any big hurdles? Nice torque curve, whats the specs on the motor and who built it?

We have the LS1 swap in the 94-96 Impala SS's down to a science.

The motor was built 2 yrs ago out of a LS1 block but then it dropped a cylinder. SO we purchased a C-5R block and had Bryan and Pecos at LME (Late Model Engineering) swap the guts.

Its a 4.125 bore with custom 4.250 stroke
6.0L heads that flow 340 CFM at .600
254/258 with a .630ish lift on a 112
11.0.1 comp ratio
Fast intake and 90mm TB.

Pump gas and 28 deg of timing.

Sounds good im planning on buying a Impala and doing a LS1/T56 swap. Local shop here FLP has done a few T56s so im sure a new motor would be too much more work.

The car has broken its axel on its 2nd trip down the track.

It ran a 7.50 in the 1/8 at 96mph and it spun all through first and most of second gear. With a 1.9 sixty foot.. LOL This car should be in the low 1.5's. 10 Second all motor 4300lb car? Be at the southern shootout to find out!

4.10's, Eaton posi and Moser Axels are on order. Its gonna be close
