Any opinions on these? Anyone using them?

The Eagle H-beam is a great rod for the price, not my suggestion for a 1,000 hp motor, but they are a great rod for the price for sure! I wouldn't use them in anything over a 750 FHP motor, but they would be safe for around 650 or so RWHP (they are only rated for around 650 FHP, but they can take much more..and for $499.00 a set I can't complain.)

Get 'em with the upgraded L19 rod bolts (not the standard 8740 bolts). You likely won't need to worry about 'em. The 8740 ones are under $400/set, and you can find the L19 versions for around $475/set.

The stock ARP bolt that come with them are not the best rod bolts but they are high on the list. I think the $400 are rated at 700hp at 8000RPMS. Not sure on how to convert that to a lower rpm and more hp. But at 6500-7000 you wont even hurt them with 700-800hp.

They look identical to my carillo rods. I know a guy putting down over 600 rwhp with these. He has some upgraded arp rod bolts in them. They are a nice piece.

Thats what i have..... i opted to buy the ARP L-19 rod bolts...... they are a burly looking rod...... should be plenty for most people.....

It is a nice rod, but you might think about the Crower rod. For $489.95 I can sell you a very nice I beam rod that is for one a true LS1 rod, lighter weight, and just as strong if not stronger than the eagle rod. Crower & Lunati are one of the few that build a true LS1 rod. The location of were the beam rides on the journal is different on a Ls1 VS. a standard SBC. It might not make that much difference, but I have talked to a few good sources that say a std sbc rod will cause premature cylinder/piston, ring wear. Like I say might not be true, I know ALOT of people that run the std rod, but thought I would put my two cents in...
