No the F2 and F4 are not xer lobes. XER lobes are Comp Cam, we also carry their products as well.

Thanks

Futral uses a different cam supplier/grinder. Cam Motion cams, I believe.

Cam Motion. Softer lobes then XE-R.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....71&postcount=8

thats a description of most of their cams.

the f2 will kick in earlier in the rpm range. f4 will kick in ever so slightly later. pull a little harder. both cams pull pretty far into the rpm range. pretty decent cams for a daily driver, good drivability. will run fine on 918's.

Yep sorry about that... we were getting our online ordering and info up in the new catalogs and it has taken a little longer than expected. We have most of it complete and have put in the request to have it routed to the new site, should be up sometime this weekend as long as everything goes as expected. I will post a link to it asap.

Thanks

Cam Motion are softer lobes, less stress on the springs. Maybe JRP or J-Rod can pop in and give you more details.

And to answer your question, I spend entirely too much time on this site. I have no life. I also use the search button

I was under the impression that Cam Motion lobes were more aggressive than XE-R lobes.

Cliff, You can run that cam without any problems. Total lift isn't the issue with P\V clearence.

Josh
Yes,the hyd lobes we use are softer than the Comp XE-R series. They are closer to the LS1 high RPM series. In reflect of one person's belief\concern that some of our lobes are dup's of Ultradyne lobes, they are not. The lobes we use will RPM up to or past 7K without beating the valvetrain components.

Mike H''s car has been running the past 2 years with a 226\226 cam and 918 springs without any problems. Improper valvespring selection\setup(open\closed pressure and valve lift\ coil bind) is the biggest cause of valvespring failure and valvetrain issues.
