A4 from LT1 go into an LS1
#4
Hell yeah it works.,
I had exact same issue, I just bought a built tranny and Vig 3200 for my '95 LT1. Bought a 2000 Formula and I wanted to put it in there.
Let me tell ya what the guys over at Precision Industries told me.
Bob,
You can install the LT1 transmission and Vigilante in the LS1. You will have to send the Vigilante back to us so we can extend the pilot. You will also have to have an early(98-99) LS1 flexplate to us the existing Vigilante torque converter due to different bolt circle of the LT1. The early LS1 flexplate has both the LT1 and LS1 bolt circle on it. If you cannot find an early LS1 flexplate we will have to change the front cover of the Vigilante torque converter. The only other difference is you will leave the upper middle bellhousing bolt out due to the transmission case not having a hole for it.
-Jack.
Mine will go in in two weeks. Hope this helps you out mate.
