Default stock size replacement pistons

I am looking for a stock replacement piston. what do you guys think would work. i am gonna put at least 150 shot on it. and also how strong are the stock rods and would you consider replacing them as well. trying to do a budget build till the new motor gets planned up.
thanks

You should do the rods also, and ARP rod bolts, IIRC the rods give out before pistons.

Diamond makes some great replacements with valve reliefs. You can use the gm mls head gasket to lower the quench, and keep the compression the same. SDPC had a good price on some I-beam rods also.
