Which is the originator Art Carr and which sells the better quality product?

The Art Carr in Cali is the Original Art Carr.... I think, crap now I can't remember Grrrrrrr

They were in Freso, then moved to Reno. They then sold the name or something and all hell broke loose and they are still going through legal battles.... I had great results with the real Art Carr products in my Mustang GT (S-Trim + 351).


IU guess you can always call and ask them. Pretend you're a detective hahaha

Alot of Mustnag guys i talk to loacal (Texas) have nothing but good things to say about Art Carr here..... I was going to buy one of there converts here soon... so we willl see.

Some of the guys on my local forum have had customer service issues with the Texas Art Carr. Other's are happy though.

the orig. art carr sold his co. and his name to the tex. co. he is still in buisness under the name of " california performance transmissions" l hope that helps clears it up

I have dealt with the Texas one. They were in Reno then. I had great customer service, but I am on my fourth 4l60e and working on number five.

i've delt with the texas Art Carr, bought a th400 from them with a RMVB and brake, as well as one of their converters and i have nothing but the best things to say about them.

I'm just loking into there converters thats all, not after a trans.

Anyone using there 3,500rpm converters before? Have 2.7 STR and ment to be 97% efficiency.

i dealt with the CA. art carr, now cpt. they didn't send all of my parts, no invoice with parts i did get, plug fell off of end of convertor in box and filled up with styrofoam. i ended up calling my credit card company and getting my card credited after getting the run around repeatedly.
