ok..heres is my problem. I am in the beginning phases of building a good sleeper car. I have around $750 to spend and I am down to two choices:

1. Pacesetter longtubes and y-pipe

or

2. new tires all the way around on my stock TA wheels (non-chrome)
nitto 555R 285R16 on the back and Nitto 450 265R16 on the front

or

3. I found a guy selling 17" 10 spoke chrome ss wheels with Nitto 555R 315s on the back and BFG Gforce 275s on the front. Front tires are new rear will have to be replaced in a month or two.

Obviously safety should come first here but the need for extra HP is definetly calling me, but then again my stock wheels look crappy and the additional chrome and 315s would add alot to the car as well as hooking better than my POS visas that are on there now.

I am stumped as shit. On one hand I can get LTs and increase HP but will eventually have to get tires anyway to handle it and on the other hand the tires and wheels would dress the car up alot...

what to do..what to do....

any suggestions, besides seing a shrink?

Go with either choice 2 or 3...

I'd go with 3, beacsuse if u have exhause and headers and no rubber to bite, that's a waste of $$ When u could of bought the rubber first, which would put more bite in your stock set up...U can always add headers and exhaust after research here...

Thats sort or where I am leaning to...ever heard of any problems with 315s on 17" x 9" wheels? Thats really my main concern with buying the used set....

thanks to all...wound up getting a pair of kumho 712's for the rear...they hook real well..didnt get the drag radials because cold/wet weather season is coming..now I might have a little left for headers or suspension.
