Wow, he doesn't even have the 90mm setup yet! Were those heads milled at all or were they just out of the box CNC heads?

What compression would that leave his heads at being milled .040? (according to his sig?)
Badass results BTW!

Was there any flycutting involved? I'm assuming a stock piston and bottom end.

Yes, Flycutting was necessary. 75 thou to be exact.

afr heads are a custom casting, not a machined stock head.

Louis, what custom piston would you recommend for a shortblock with 225cc AFRs and your nasty cam. Thanks. Is 2cc relief enough?

Thanks Tony for posting the link. I'm not on the boards all that much.
The car is a real screamer. I couldn't be more happy with the results, considering there is still alot more potential in it.
The car drives great. I can easly drive it everyday.
Big thanks to LG for the great parts and Speed Inc. for the great tuning.

Nice #'s
I like the torque..

Very Sweet. Those torque numbers are insane. I've also noticed how the AFR's really seem to come alive in the 3500-5000rpm range compared to a stock ported casting.

The AFRs have always been a shining head, but people just slap combinations together that have no rhyme or reason coupled with improper tuning, the wrong cam no attention to detail and wonder why it doesnt make power.
The heads are at a ~ 61 cc + a little thinner gasket, not much.
I sent another AFR headed car to Speed Inc with a smaller cam, no ported TB, LS1 block, Dynatechs, Borla, and a 12 bolt with 4.10s that spit out 438/416. It would be 450 with a new MAF and ported TB.
2 AFR/LG combos go to Speed Inc in one week and make power. There is no mystery here, just proven combos :)

Dang, 50rwhp over the previous setup that had a cam already.....that is a LOT more impressive than the results on their webpage with the 224 cam!!!

What impresses me most about this car is not the power. I drove the car a couple days ago, and with that big of a cam and heads, I was expecting at least *some* drivability issues, however it had none. It drives like a stock Z06. Well, stock that is until you dip into the throttle a bit, at which point it becomes quite obvious that it is not stock at all. Most enjoyable daily driver I have ever been in. As for the power, it is just awesome. With the stock supercars on there, traction is a bigger issue then one would think until you're into triple digit speeds. All in all the car is plain bad ass and a lot of fun to drive.
