flat black hood on a t/a? Any pics?
I did a search and came up with nothing. Now that my boyds are sold I'm set on a set of black wheels. I'm getting a new hood before springtime and I want to keep it flat-black. Also will be painting the rear bumper cover flat black like the 02/CE, so anyone have pics of a flat black hood installed? Personally I think the black hood, rear and black wheels are going to set the car off. Plus that makes it one step closer to my black on black future paint job years from now!

"I" think its going to look bad ***, and thats what counts. There is a guy here who has a ws6 lt1 with a 4in ram air hood. It looked awesome, he kept the hood black for almost a year. I have yet to see one on a white ls1, so i dont see how its going to look like ***.

to keep the hood from looking unfinished to the ignorant (most people) you could always just do the stripes in flat black. it would look really good to do the tops of the WS6 scoops in flat black i think.

I've seen flat black parts on gloss black cars. That's just like when the ricers don't paint their carbon fiber hoods just leave them unfinished. Looks like ****. Looks like you wrecked it or didn't have the money to paint it.
It attracts attention to your car, but not the kind most would go for. To each their own. But I think it will suck.

ignorant? He's asking for opinions, so if he doesn't want them, why would he ask??? Not everyone is going to like a particular choice you might make, but who cares? If you want to do something, you should just do it. That's why every other car on here looks like another one. People do what everybody else does, and very few do anything that's original.

one thing to consider is flat black paint can be really hard to pull off correctly. maybe some paint experts on here can help with this, but from what i have seen, the paint can have different shades or spots in it. also may be hard to maintain, since the surface remains rough. just some observations

From a pure appearance standpoint I think it's nasty. That's my opinion. Hoods not painted look like rice.
It's a Lambo so performance wise I'm sure it's badass. Looks wise I'd rank it only slightly above a Honda Accord.

i dont think it will really look right, but another guy said, flat black stripes, it would look sweet with black wheels and the bumper portion also in flat black
but the whole hood flat black on a white car just would look off
might wanna get somebody to photoshop it up for ya, so you can get an idea of how it will look before it is really done, good luck with whatever you go with
