Default Dyno numbers for a 98 Formula

Went to see how healthy my car is so I decided to strap it onto the dyno. It's a 1998 A4 Formula, bone stock.

309whp/320WTQ...
Does these numbers seem healthy?
Thanks guys, Jon

Those are strong numbers especially for a 98 A4. Most 98-99 M6s pull 282-295 RWHP.

Some LS1's were freaks from the factory, even w/out the ls6 intake and stuff, mine included

eh, i vote dyno operator error and/or uncorrected numbers. 98 a4's are some of the lowest dynoing cars. also do "bone stock" 98's even exist anymore

Looks about right to me. On the strong side, but well within what we see on our dyno.

They had an interesting article about the LS1 in...I think it was Car Craft. Apparently, there are two processes by which the heads are made. Most are sand-cast or something like that, and the rest are made some other way. The way you can identify the better ones is they have triangular marks in the casting under the sparkplug holes. Supposedly they flow considerably better and offer a few percent more horsepower. It would account for a lot of the factory freaks, if true.

I am going to guess he meant 2XX not 3XX. If he had a 96-97..he might have had an LT4..but that is not the case.
