Default Metal tube on the top of a 4L60E

What does the small metal tube on top of the 4L60E connect to? TIA.

About 2' of hose goes on there, and clips to the torque arm. It's a vent tube. The hose should have a check valve in it too, if I remember right. (in case the tranny is ever submerged I suppose...)
