This is an 01 SS with a lid and 3" cat back, automatic.
60ft... 2.025 / 2.075 / 1.999
1/8mi...8.627 / 0.000 / 8.632
1/8MPH..86.23 / 0 / 85.01
1/4mi....13.319 / 13.457 / 13.337
1/4MPH..104.78 /104.11 / 104.49
This was my second time at the track with the car. It ran pretty similar times before but with slightly higher 60ft times so I thought maybe my ET would improve a little this time but it didn't. Are these typical numbers for this car ?
I'm running on Nitto drag radials and think my 60ft should be much better so I am wondering what is normal. I think my 60' is more typical of a car on regular street radials. My car does have lowering springs and the stock LCA's so I'm wondering if maybe LCA relocation brackets will help ?
thanks for any help advice.

I would say your 60" foot should be in the 1.90 range with drag radials. With my (99 Z A4) and BFGs I was getting a 1.97 60 foot.. Got a stall converter and some E.T. Streets and I am not around 1.5X . I dropped my 1/8th mile time (with just headers and stall) to 7.50.
When I had your exact mods (99 Z, A4, Lid, E-Cutout,) I was running around a 8.7. I got 3.73 Strange Gears and that put me at 8.45, the headers and ST3500 stall from yank put me around 7.50. I am hoping for high 11s, I dropped a second in my 1/8th mile time alone, and my previous times were 13.0/8.4 so I am wishfull thinking, but we will see.
Good luck man, seems like a very fast car,

With an 01 car and those 60's you should be in the 12's. Get the car tuned with ls1 edit.

Your times are right where they need to be. You should be able to cut a 1.9 on the nitto's with the stock 'verter, it will just take practice. Do a nice smokey burn out with the nitto's, and keep leaving harder until you find the sweet spot. I ran a 13.23 in my full weight '02 WS6 with just a lid, cutout, and nitto's.

I'd agree that the times are about right. Damn stock convertors won't let much better than a high to mid 1.9 even with sticky tires unless you swap gears. My 3.23 geared Formula is good for high 1.9's 60 foots usually, and I have a few more things done than you. Get a convertor and you'll see the 12s easily, provided you hook! :D
Keep at it!

Those times are good with your mods. How was the weather where you were racing. I know with my car if it humid I run .2 to .3 tenths slower. I have pretty much the same mods as you and I am running 13.1's @ 107mph. That is also with street tires. Just keep taking out to the track try launching at about 1200 to 1400 rpms you will see your 60' times fall a little. Definetly get a TC thats my next investment.

weather was really good both times but the track conditions were terrible the first time. Traction was much better 2nd time out which is why I thought I would see a 13.2/13.1. After thinking about everything I totally forgot something that may or may not have made a difference. I had the Hypertech " engine tuning" program in the car the first time out. I've used it before on an Lt1 car and saw no gain with it and after reading some posts here it sounded like the same was the case for the LS1so I removed that part of the program after the last outing. I didn't notice any difference on the street but I'm wondering if it would have made a difference at the track considering my 60' times were a little better this time.
