Default 4l60e 93 truck tranny

will my 2001 ls1 computer shift my 93 4l60e tranny in my 93 chevy truck i am positive it is a 4l60e but not sure if the plugs are the same on the 2001 tranny as the older 4l60e thanks for any help

The computer can shift the 93 trans'. But late 95' up 4l60-E's use a pwm operated tcc lock up feature. The 93' computer just grounded the tcc solenoid in the 93'-mid 95' as opposed to cycling it to vary the amount of converter lockup. However the 97' back 4l60E's will not bolt up to the LS1 due to bellhousing and converter differences.

Sorry the electrical plugs are the same, and in the same location except for a couple more wires add for the tcc pwn feature. The electrical connector for the VSS is different though.

thanks i already have it bolted up just i only have 5 bolts in the tranny and we made the flexplate work. just was wondering about the shifting but you answered that thanks for the info

i would also chk the wiring schematic to make sure everything is still in the same location
